2023 Season is a Wrap
The 2023 season is a wrap. The Skamania County Mosquito Control District program is designed to keep mosquito populations below levels where they become a nuisance or a public health problem leading to a possible outbreak of disease. The Skamania County Mosquito Control District covers the West side from the East of Smith Cripe Road to the West side of the Bridge of the Gods including the town of North Bonneville.
The most important and least visible part of our program involves searching out mosquito larvae in standing water and using control measures that are cost-effective and environmentally friendly to eliminate these pests before they develop into adults. Most of the products we use are biological in origin and are highly specific for mosquitoes while having little or no effect on other organisms.
